Which stump service should you ask for?
Start with what you want to do with the space. Tell the provider whether you want a level lawn, a new planting area, or room for a future project. Ask for a recommendation that addresses that use, with the work and exclusions written into the estimate.
Grinding reduces the stump into small pieces below the surface; it does not mean every root is removed. Excavation involves digging out the stump. Ask the provider to define exactly what “removal” means in their quote before comparing prices.

How much does stump grinding cost?
